Penford uses ISO registration as the platform for quality assurance. The Cedar Rapids starch manufacturing facility was originally ISO 9002 registered in 1993 exclusive of co-products. Penford Products Co. was the first domestic starch supplier to earn ISO 9002 registration. In May 2003, Penford Products Co. was upgraded to the ISO 9001:2000 Standard.
